About the Artist

Deborah Gedayloo

Tell us a little about yourself and why you created your design?

My name is Debbie Gedayloo. I have been teaching art in one form or another for the past 30+ years to both children and adults. Currently, I am teaching classes through the San Luis Obispo Adult School and from my home. Although I have struggled with my own self confidence in the art world; I have recently stepped into the realm of public art display by participating in year-round in street painting festivals and various other avenues.

Art is a very personal experience and I incorporate it into my daily meditation and self reflection. My purpose in presenting my art to others is to inspire those who feel “They aren’t artistic” and to help them realize that everything is art. There is no perfection, just expression.

With this in mind, I have chosen to title my cow design “Joie de Vivre” which translates as “a cheerful enjoyment of life”. There is a very playful and uplifting use of color and design to remind us all that there is lightness and joy in our lives.

The painted will have further detail added to each element. Within each circle there will be a mandala/zentangled design. There will also be custom made earrings for her ears.
